Founded in 2005 in Stirling, Scotland, United Kingdom, we are an independent consultancy devoted entirely to the science of wind measurement for the wind energy sector, onshore and offshore.
Over two decades of remote sensing experience
Oldbaum Services began with a simple idea: that the wind industry required reliable measurements it could bank on. While others modelled, we set our focus on the measurement quality — precision, independence and to the highest international standards.
Today our data scientists deploy and manage LIDAR systems around the World, calibrate scanning LIDAR systems and floating LIDAR systems against trusted references, and run 24/7 data assurance for campaigns supporting gigawatts of new offshore capacity. We remain deliberately specialised on wind measurement and data quality.
